China TaoTao 110 Solenoid clicks when trying to start

The click is coming from the starter solenoid as I can feel it when I hold the solenoid. The brake light comes on and when it clicks it dims. I have a brand new battery in it that is charged. I replaced the solenoid already as well. Not sure what the issue is now. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
The problem started when I tried to jump the old battery off of my John Deere. It would start after I did that and the problem I described is the result of whatever I messed up after trying to jump it.
Thanks, Jason

So do you have 12+ volts at the solenoid(battery side)? I ask because generally when a solenoid clicks it's not getting enough voltage to send to the starter. Everyone seems to think the solenoid is bad when it clicks and starter doesn't turn and end up replacing it, guilty of it myself.
