I have a kawasaki 300 bayou I have rebulit the carb and it runs great on idle but will hasatate when giving it the gas and then back fires . With the choke on, it seems to run a little better.

Not enough gas in the circuit of the carb. You could try backing off the pilot screw a little and see if that helps.
