ES 2002 TRX350FE2 Honda.... Neutral light stays on with ING switch off

HI! Hope for the answer.... ES 2002 TRX350FE2 Honda..... Neutral light stays on when key is either on or off this, in a rather short time "couple days" runs the battery down. System seems to be chargeing battery to more than 12.4V. When key is on neutral light is brite... when key is trunned off the light dims to about 1/2 that was in the "key on" Seems to me that it maybe in the ignition switch however not seeing a history of this issue. I have disconnectted the switch and still light stays on.............. LOST!

sounds like the ignition switch is going bad, or you have a short in the harness.... inspect the harness for wear and possible shorts. if none are found unplug the wires of the ignition switch one at a time and see if the light goes out.....if so try a new ignition switch or simply unplug the ignition wire that kills the light when not riding.
