Old member from ATVmagonline/ATVnews

New member to this board but a very old member from the now defunct ATV Magazine forum (formerly ATV News before that) princevaliant1975.  Since the old board is defunct and nothing was moved to this board I guess I will start my new "life" here.  haha.  For those that don't know I wrote for the Atv Magazine blog site.

I also, am a former member of the aforementioned defunct atvmagazine Forum. I was sad to hear of the old Forum's demise. I became a member in 2005, had close to 9,000 posts, and was the most active moderator there for the past three years. I look at this as the end of an era, and the beginning of another.
I am an avid Utility ATV rider, having owned a 300 Fourtax, a Rancher 350, two Rincons, a Grizzly 600, a Bayou 220 ( my first), one Banshee, two King Quad 700s,  and last but not keast, a Thundercat 1000.
I'd like to think I served the old Forum well, and it certainly served me well. Some of my excursions I never would have made, if not for my Forum contacts, have been to Hatfield-McCoy, and the Imoerial Sand Dunes (Glamis). I hail from New Hampshire, and have organized several rides with other Forum members in the New England region.
Its a pleasure to meet you all, and I hope the tradition carries over into this new-to-me Forum.  

I guess I forgot to post that I was a member of the old forum since February of 2003.  I remember the highs and lows of that forum.

Add me as a new member from the old dead atvmagazine Forum.  Not sure how many posts I had.  I know it was more than one and less than 9,000.  Was a member of the forum since 2005 if my memory serves me well.  I am hoping I get the same great information here that I got at the old forum.

You rang? What happened to the old forum? I tried checking it out a few days ago and was redirected here.  

Well I found a press release after googling my inquirey.  A nice "thanks you for your time" email or notice would have been nice.  I was a writer on the Blog site and I got no warning that they would be shutting down and the site/log-in would be invalid.  I do however notice that the rv.net and snogoer forums still exist and our log in's are good over there, just no ATVmagonline forum to post to.

I never understood why when ATV Sport mag went under that ATV Magazine didn't just adopt the Sport division and combine the two instead of two separate publications. Oh well.

hell, if it wasn't for me seeing Prince's post, I wouldn't have bother joining.  CC, I lost your number when I got a new phone, and didn't know how to get ahold of you to get the low down on the old forum.  I wonder if Willie will convert...! ahaha

Does this mean ATV MAGAZINE is out of business? I had a subscription paid up til 2014.  

Yeah apparently, but in the press release you will now get 6 issues a year of ATVrider since your a current subscriber.
