Chinese ATV not holding charge

I have a question, hopefully someone can answer this. I have a 110cc Chinese atv, not sure what brand. Bought a brand new battery for it about 2 months ago, and it worked fine for a while. My children do not ride it that much, but it will not hold a charge. It is ridden maybe once a week. I have to use a battery charger every time they ride it. This is the exact reason I bought a new battery because I thought it was bad, but now I am having second thoughts. Our neighbor also has the same atv and does not have this problem. After doing some research I am thinking it may be the stator?!? could that be the problem? If not, what are your suggestions? Thank you for your help!

3 things, 1. It very well could be the stator starting to go bad. 2. You have to us a battery charger on the small batteries that shut off after its charged. If the charger stays on it will boil the fluid right out of the battery. (Took trashing 2 batteries to realize that.)You can get a cheap charger made for those quads on ebay. (Search 110cc Kids ATV Charger)3. Check all terminals from the stator to the back and make sure they are all clean and making good contact. Use some dielectric grease on them.

definately replace the battery if you are using the stock battery that came with it. they are fairly weak and i have seen alot of them go bad.

Hello, It sounds like you have something draining the battery. Have you checked to see if your system is drawing from the battery? Your ignition, lights, ot something may still be on when you're not using it. Unless the battery is of poor quality you should not be having this problem. Use a multimeter at the battery terminals and make sure that you are getting at least 12 1/2 to 14 volts when running. The higher the RPM the higher the voltage. It should not read 12 or less. Also. when the bike is off disconnect the positive cable and put a multimeter in line between the battery and the cable and check for a current draw. Another way is that when you are not using it to disconnect the battery and connect it when you start the bike the next day or whenever. If it starts the problem is that the system is drawing from the battery when sitting. It always pays to invest in a good battery. These guys have really good batteries though they may prove expensive. https://www.impactbattery.com/ Good luck

if it has the remote shut off with alarm that would be it i went and got two batteries for mine cuz same thing them i cut that part out of the wiring harness and holy it stayed charged. it seams that the alarm has a high draw and so dose the remote shut off because its always looking for the remote.
