I was wondering if anyone can help me out. We have a 2001 Traxter 500 and have had no real problems other then replacing the starter.

Last year it started acting up once it would warm up. This would consist of needing choke to keep the engine running.

At first we thought that the fan was not being switched on and it was a heat issue.. however this was not the case as this is happening before the temp really raises to high.

We check the fuel tank filters and it doesn't seem to be a fuel supply issue.
Has anyone had this problem? any suggestions?
Thanks

So have you tried cleaning the carb? Generally when you have to keep the choke on there's a fuel restriction or an improperly adjusted carb.

I had the same problem, after checking and searching all the fuel componentd, and lines, it turned out to be the fuel pump....there is no fuel pymp diaphram kits avialable for this pump, so I had to purchase a new fuel pump from Bombardier, the pump cost was $87.00, also replaced all the fuel lines, and cleaned the p/u filters inside the tank. This solved my problem, good luck on yours, sounds like the same issues to me though...
