Hi all, I have 2 chinese Atv's that won't turn over. two weeks ago I got them out to get them ready for spring and the motors turned over, they were sluggish and I was not able to get them started before the battery died. I couldn't find the charger so I charged them with a 3 amp Dc power supply i have. Now they won't even turn over, I hear a click but that's all. I had the batteries tested and they are ok. I have a 12 volt battery for my mower that I tried to jump it with but still just clicks.
Please help

If the connections are clean & tight and battery is fully charged, then check the starter. You could run a wire from the battery's positive terminal to the relay. It will spark some(when tapping the wire to the relay terminal) but the starter will turn the engine over or not. You can also use jumper cables to do this from the battery.

Thanks for the reply, I've been troubleshooting today. I ran a wire from the + battery terminal to red connector on the Starter and tried with switch on and in run position and still just clicks. I also bought a new battery. I have a volt meter, can I measure voltage at the starter and see if it's getting juice?

Yes you can. Check it while trying to crank to see what voltages you have.

but bring them by when you get a chance and we'll look at the ones you have and try to figure out what made those go out.

My friend has an aries panther 110cc that he changed the valves in recently. It wont start now. The timing is set, it has spark, compression and is getting fuel. Any ideas on where to go next?
