I just want to get a bit more torque out of my 07 350 raptor. I've done an HMF slip on exhaust....rejetted the carb.....a pro-designs air intake and run with the airfilter box lid off......lol, there's a finish line jump on the intermediate track at Breezewood in PA that I can't quite make....lol. My friends say I should lose fifteen pounds, since that's prolly not gonna happen......I was thinking of changing to a different size sprocket....they're both stock sizes right now...any suggestions?

if it were me i would go with a 1 up front sprocket and a stage 2 hot cam.
stage 2 hotcam will give you more mid range and top end. the 1 up front sprocket will give you a little more torque room for the stage2 hotcam.
changing the front and rear sprockets will ad more mid range and top end (1 up front, 2 teeth smaller on rear), but the stage 2 hotcam will give you more torque and more of an edge. if you change front and rear sprockets, and do the stage2 hotcam it will really get you there.
but if you cant afford the cam, try the sprockets it may make the difference you need. try 14/38

i got to looking... see if you can't also shave some weight off that 350 raptor.
they weigh in at 396 pounds....thats heavier than most 450's the trx450r weighs in a 364 pounds. there's got to be a way to get some of the extra weight off the 350 raptor. thats 22 pounds heavier than the 450r. extra weight that you really dont need when racing. my guess would be some of that extra weight is due to the reverse gear in the raptor 350, so maybe there is a way to take some weight off somewhere else.
the trx450r doesn't have a reverse gear to help keep the weight down.
also if you go with a front sprocket that is 2 teeth or more larger, you will have to buy a new chain. the stock chain is not long enough to accomodate a 2 tooth larger front or rear sprocket.
usually a 102 chain will accomodate the larger sprockets to 3 teeth larger.
i checked with some of my buddies who race the 350 raptor, and some of them are running as high as a 17 tooth front sprocket. while i scratch my head wondering how the chain doesn't smack the case, i am curious also as to how much low end they lose, and if it is significant on the track where mid and top end would rule at the finish line.

If I do a stage 2 hot cam.....will I need to start running racing fuel? I don't race.....I just tool around on the thing.....but sometimes I race the tracks just to amuse myself...lol, I LOVE being airborne....but the track between jumps is tight and the 350 just doesn't have it getting back up to speed coming out of a berm and right into a double or a long table top. (kick myself every day for not getting a 450)

no i dont believe you would need to run race fuel with the hotcam stage2.
and yes....the 450 is niiice!!!
but throw the stage2 hot cam in it, maybe even look into a hot cdi to go with it. you wont regret the stage2 hotcam.

hot cdi? lol, wtf's a cdi? I've talked to a couple people......a few of whom I don't think really know wtf their talking about.....lol......but I'll ask anyway....if I do that hot cam....will I harm my bottom end any and if that's a risk, what precautions can I take to help prevent that......I just had to whole top end and crank assembly replaced under warranty (barely), I don't wanna have to go through that mess again..Yamaha gave me a really hard time replacing it...

no actually hotcams makes them so that they fit directly onto your stock head without having to cut the valve inserts.
they are a direct replcement cam with a little extra horsepower.
unlike other cams which cause your valvetrain to wear out sooner.
while any hp mod will cause a little more wear due to extra power, usually the wear is from the riders thumb and big grin with hotcams.
check with your dealer though to be sure that using a hotcam will not void your warranty. usually dealers will use every reason they can to void a warranty. adding aftermarket parts is the easiest way for them to drop the warranty.
a cdi is the atv's electronic control. usually a black box with wires going into it, it regulates the voltage on the charging system, timing advance curve and votlage at the spark plug.
a hot cdi also called a rev box will improve your atv's timing curve improving performance, and give a hotter spark at the plug for a few more horses.
do a search on ebay for raptor 350 hot cdi or dynatek cdi raptor 350
you'll see what iam talking about.
they are a plug and go part. just unplug the old one and plug up the new one for instant extra power.
