I've got my 87 honda 200sx  lately ive been extremely curious as to whether or not the swingarm from a atc 200x would bolt up to my 200sx?  i know the chain length would change as well as the rear brake system but all that could also be 'stolen' from the atc to make it kosher.   I appreciate any help.

in theory it will but they way honda changed the designs from year to year it may not.  they have a purely japanese design, an american import design and a french design some split year in 86 and 87.

the difference will be the swing arm width and pivot bolt diameter.
also check the swingarm length, you wouldn't want a shorter swing arm.

about the easiest way to determine which you have is to look at the brake master cylinder cap, is the writing on it only in english? if so you have an american model.
or is it in japanese? if so then you have a japanese model,
but if it is in japanese and french then you have a french model.

85-87 could have been any of these,
88-90 were either japanese or american designed.
