2007 Arctic Cat 400 ATV manual transmission - no power in high speed

2007 Arctic Cat ATV 400 with manual transmission. The engine is running fine when shifted in Neutral or Low speed, but lacks power (low RPM) in High speed. The performance in High speed is similar to what I experience when in Reverse, but in Reverse I can activate the reverse override switch and increase the RPM. My initial thought was the RPM limiter/CDI unit, but since I only experience this problem when operating in High speed, I am speculating that this is not the source of the problem. This unit is still relatively new (i.e. low mileage / hours of operation). Any ideas on troubleshooting this?

could be the cdi is going out, over limiting the engine rpm.
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!

I'm having the same problem with a 2005 400 auto and a 07 400 auto! Did you ever get it figured out? Please let me know! Thanks, CJ
