I have a 97 blaster.the cylinder is port and polished, its bored .80over,graphite reeds, fmf pipe, and a boost bottle.Im looking for other cheap power mods any ideas? Also the stock front sprocket is a 13 tooth.I got a 14 tooth but when i tried to put it on ,it hits the top of the guard on the case.i could also use some help with that.

have you done the 4 degree timing advance?

it adds 3 horsepower to your atv.

have you flipped the front wheels?

the 1 up front sprocket should fit, mine went on with no problems, just had to readjust the chain.

i'll think on it and try to remember all the mods i have done to mine.

very little difference but some. the trick is mounting it under the tank above the engine.

I mounted mine above the tank where the fender bolts on.mine is a vitos,i think i notice a  little mid range diffrence, every little bit helps.Another thing i found to make it work a little better, instead of using the short hose they give you,buy a longer one and route it around the back of the carb into the intake.Seemed to get better throtle response on mine.

Do any of the newer model blasters have hydraulic brakes?I would like hydraulic front brakes on mine.Got the 14 tooth sprocket on,seemed to make a diffrence.

I have an older Blaster, I'm not sure of the year, but it's fairly old. I can only top out around 50ish, what can I do to speed that up? I can't really afford to bore it out, simply because I cannot afford to replace everything that goes with blowing it up.

advance the timing 4 degree's (FREE +4 horsepower)

buy a 1 up front sprocket, normally around $20.00
(better top end)

remove the baffle from the muffler and dril a 3/8 inch hole inside the muffler where the baffle came out.
(approx. 4 horsepower gain.)

Bore it .40 over or higher. (you can go as high as 100 over)

.40 is a pretty powerful overbore on a 2 cycle.
