Video games?

So I got banged up (not from riding), and won't be able to ride for a while, probably 6 months or so.  In the meantime, I've been playing a lot of video games.

Anyone here game?

I played Fuel and Pure, both ATV games, and wasn't impressed.  I'm really looking forward to this new game called MX vs. ATV Reflex. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cph-HZzoE60

It's not gonna beat the real thing, but it looks like it could hold me over.  

I've not tried the Reflex version, but loved MX vs. ATV Untamed.  

by far thw mx vs series is the best. the only part of pure im overly impressed with is the garage department. being able to build you own quad is sick. but the tricks are impossible in real life, and its just not real at all.

I think this one is actually changing the physics up so the tricks are more realistic, that's what the "rider reflex" thing should do.  I'm not a huge fan of the cartoony unrealistic jumps and stuff that they have in other games, but I think this one has the potential to be very realistic.  

I think you are gonna for sure dig it. I heard about the rider reflex thing. Should be sick! I'll be getting a copy of it soon.  

Well, it comes out Christmas so we're all gonna have to wait. I don't even think it's close to having a beta yet.  

at least there is one thing to put on my list other than parts and riding gear

There's a review over on IGNl of the DS version now.  Seems like I'm gonna have to get it for DS as well, meaning instead of daydreaming about riding while at work, I can just simulate riding at work.  

I've tried Motostorm and Pure this year and they've been pretty good although weren't games I wanted to play long-term. Although this looks really good all around. The graphics are nice (they're taking full advantage of HD capabilities), the control system sounds easy to pick up, and looks like they got all the sponsors back for this one! I missed that the most.

I found an article with even more info on it from Gamespot. Hopefully they'll get a demo out soon if this game is supposed to be out December!  

Yeah they really need to get out a demo ASAP! I've been following the MX vs. ATV community and am looking out every day.

I heard they've confirmed they're doing a demo. They just haven't give a date yet. hopefully we find out more soon. Less than 1 month to go!  

yeah, the demo looks like it'll be a lot of fun.

I saw this and it says Reflex is coming out 11/30 and not 12/1. go figure! It'd be nice if we could get it a day early  

The demo is confirmed for November 12th. that means we got about a week til it comes out! Hell yes! About time.  

Man, it comes out the same week as COD:MW2...hmm...I'm broke anyway so I can't get MW2. Guess i'll just play the demo next week
