year 2000 400 ex gas pours drains out of carberater

The gas keeps draining out a tube on the bottom of the carberater. I was told a float might be stuck open and a o-ring needs replaced? is this true?

it is the overflow port. your getting to much gas. it could be the floats, needle, jets...
