automatic transmission whines

I just bought a used 2001 Kawasaki 300 Prairie and when I go down a hill the transmission whines real loud. Is there something wrong with the trans?

i have a 02 praire 650 and a 09 brute force 650 they both whine. down hill and riding down the street
