Well some of you know that toubles i've been having with the jack hammering noises in the rearend of my new 2009 Sportsman 500 HO, its been back to the dealer and nothing has been done...i've emailed Polaris a few times but no responce...i'm going to try a different dealer out of my way and see what they say...but what really *** me off is no contact from polaris not even a lousy email, not even concerned about my problem..my dealer is no hope and   the guy will never see me again until, i decide to leave it at his front door...besides his tech is a hole and i know he would'nt want that jack hammering noise in his bike.I'm hopeing someone from Polaris reads this and contacts me....MUDDIE1

have you herd of the lemon law.  i had called 1-800-polaris and one of the 4 people i had talked to had toiled me,  if it has been in 3 times for the same reason it fall on polaris to find and fix the problem. challenge this and don't take no for an answer. this is now the forth time my quad has been in for the same problem. it is now 9 hours from home and at a different dealer with hi hopes.

polaris doesn't like to honor their warranties, i have fought with them numerous times in an effort to help my customers with their polaris defect/warranty issues.

the polaris dealer here has closed it's doors, and reluctantly iam a little glad to see them go.

i have in the past called polaris industries, it's really hard to get someone on the phone.
and when you do they leave you with hopes of doing something, but in the end they never do.

I hate hearing that any atv manufacturer won't stand behind their product.

i would either check into the lemon laws or take it to a smaller shop that will care about your problem and having your business.

the guidelines for lemon law are strict, but you should be able to look them up.
they vary state by state.

Muddie1 I possible have a fix for ya..Pull out your transmission plug and look to see if the transmission chain is grinding away at the drain plug.  If it is then use a dremel and take it down about 1/8".  Before you do put cold blue on it to see if the chain rubs on it again.  I have taken mine out twice and it still rubs a little, but it make it alot quieter...no more cement mixer noise/clank.  I'm going to pull mine out again and look at it this weekend.  Only use Polaris Tranny fluid..It should work....
