i have a 2004 kfx 700 v force that cuts out need help!

i recently went up north riding and when i came back i was riding on my farm and when i hit about 3/4 throttle or 35mph it cuts out and wont go any faster. i was wondering wut can cause this to happen.

the fuel/air mixture is wrong. its getting too much air and not enough gas, so it is basically starving at that point. you need to adjust the screw outward a turn or two. do slow incriments, let it run, test it. if no better, do it again until its fixed.

wut happen is i was riding it and it started to smoke so i pulled the head of and inpsected piston and cylinder. replaced the head gasket and adjusted the valves.i ran the motor and when it in neutral it fine but when in gear it cuts out.

IT HAS A BAD ticking noise now to but it sound like it ciming form the breather

well if its cutting out when you put it into hear its either getting way too much gas at one time or its getting all air and killing. as far as the ticking, im not sure, i wouldnt think a valve pusher is bad since you were just in there, it may be the timing chain if you forgot to but the tensioner back in, or just not tight enough. i guess that one you will have to just trial and error with.

also look at the clutch, it might be killing because the clutch is not fully engaging.

well if final got it figured out i pulled the carbs apart and cleaned them replaced the plug and redid the vavle adjutment and it didnt cut out anymore thnx for the help
