2005 Artic Cat 400 Auto... Display problem

I have a 2005 Artic Cat 400 auto. The display comes on then off continusly when I turn the key on. The timing and fuel control don't seem to be working correctly. If it were an automobile I would say it was a computer control problem but I have no expertise with atv's so need help.
