95 Magnum 425 All wheel drive wires

I have a 1995 Magnum 425 4x4. Where the wires come out of the front strut hub it looks like at one time there was some protection (foam) or it was siliconed to the strut. These wires are used on all the older 4x4 ATV's where hilliard lock-up magnet is in the hubs which locks up the front wheels. Right now there is nothing and I would think they will break if not protected or fastened in some manner. So someone with one of these older machine's can you tell me at the hub if their wires have any protection as they go into the hub. Thanks
