Hey guys, I know this was a stupid idea but sometimes you just do stupid things.  This past saturday we were ripping around our motocross track on our utility quads and I though lets drive through the pond.  A big section of it is only 18" deep.  So went through that a bunch of times then got braver and went through a few sections that were 24-30 inches deep.  Did it a bunch of times everything seemed fine we stopped and took a break for a while.  Went to start it back up and it idles fine, but cuts out and back fires when you give it more than 1/4 throttle.  It seems to run almost 100% with the choke on but lacks some hp.  Any info would be great.  I thought it was water in the gas, I drained that all and put fresh in.  I drained the bowl on the carb so everything is fresh as far as gas.  I checked the plug it seems clean and like its burning right.

Anything else I can check??

Thanks for your replies, and I anticipate any bashing I take for pond riding...

Running with the choke on is usually a sign of fuel obstruction. I would clean the carb. and see if that helps. Did you get water in your air filter?

I seen what you were really doing, lol

Ok, i'll look into cleaning the carb.  There was a tiny bit of water in the air box but was soaked up with like 1 paper towel.

The water level in the video was definitely comparable to what we were riding in.  But I wasn't doing wheelies, I was doing donuts in it.

Just wanted to say thanks Mikelm, took the carb off, opened up the bottom half, and there was a couple tiny pieces of grass and crap in a couple spots.  Cleaned it all out and runs awesome again.

Thanks again...
