2001 Yahama Big Bear bearings

Thought my bearings were worn in my front wheel drive. I disassembled and checked shaft and bushing and no wear or galling but no grease.My questions is how much clearence between the shaft and bushing and also what type of grease should be used to pack bearings. Remarkable the seals and boots in good shape but is there a dressing to renew boots?
