I don't know about a cushion for the bumper but if you put a tire without the rim in the front of your truck, that will slow you down.
Heres my toys YFZ450 "06" jet kit, zip tie mod, cam mod, sold Raptor 350 "06" stock, sold Predator 90 "06" stock, sold

yes a tire will work well, just doesn't look so great. and any cushion you strrap on the bumper will get beaten off while riding.
try using some styrofoam pipe insulation that you can remove while riding.
or not it's cheap enough to replace.

invest in straps 2 little ratchet straps will be cheaper than replacing whatever it is you use, plus it looks good too. then people know you take good care of your ride. at the hardwarestore where i work you can get a 4 pack of light duty, 15' straps for $16, you only need 2 but you will find a use for the others. if you go that way just be sure not to leave them in the weather for too long. a few weeks in the rain and sun will not do good for them.
