1995 king quad - no neutral indicator light when in neutral with key on. no red light when in reverse either. won't start. will start with pull rope (green indicator light flashes on while you're pulling the rope just long enough for the engine to start, then goes off and the engine keeps running). also, the green light flashes on and off when the engine idles down just before it dies. if it is a bad switch in the gear box, how do i get to it to change it?

check wires first. one may be lose, or shorted. this would explain not having the lights on while in gear. i would suggest starting simple. then if you cant find it, start thinking bigger, and more difficult

yeah i agree with fmx, either a short or a bad fuse with connectivity issues.
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!
