i never even rode a bike before.  a few of my friends ride.  they have a raptor 350 and honda 400ex. they both loven them and have great things to say about both.  im looking to buy a used, something reliable and am looking to spend south of 2000 but am open to ideas and maybe spend alittle more.  i am new but want to keep up with them as well.  i guess i masking what is my best bet.

there are alot of 400's for sale on craigslist for around 1800. or, if you get a 2 stroke, something like a blaster or 250r and mod it out quite a bit you will keep up. look into the kawisaki mojave or the yamaha warrior. the mojave is naturally fast, and with an exhaust it flys. the warrior is a 350 and will keep up with your friends quads but my suggestion would be a z400 or dvx. they are both 400's and are powerfull enough to keep you close behind, or even better. throwing dirt at your friends. good luck and have fun.
