I do have one for 1 month.  Have starter problem.  Change 2 starters in one month.  Dealer say that may be the decompression spring not been install properly.  This spring can be install with 1/2 turn or more.  Polaris recommend that this spring is install with 1/2 turn and if the system dont return to initial position, install spring with more than 1/2 turn.  It looks that the starter is not strong enough for the KTM motor.

Performance: I did race in straight line with Raptor 700 SE 2008 and i beated it many times.  On rolling starts from approx. 40 Mph to more than 60 Mph i did beated him.  The raptor have beater front brakes than Outlaw.  Raptor can brake with only one finger.  Outlaw need more pressure on lever to operate properly.
Power band on Outlaw is mor in low rpm than raptor.  ride is more smooth on raptor than Outlaw.  Steering is more precise on Outlaw than Raptor.

Sounds like the 525 has an awsome motor, why does it aways seem like I need parts from all different sport quads to make the ultimate ride.  I have a possible decompression system failure on my 2001 Raptor.  Highly maintained with 350+hrs and always on synthetic oil since new.  I had a cold start the other day, and the motor had a slight backfire, then seemed to have lost full compression, which I will check the weekend to make sure.  My factory manual shows a small bit of information and picture of the decompression system, and it looks like there is a small keeper pin that go's through the camshaft that actuates the decomp. linkage and centrifical weights. I wander if those have ever sheared off. Anybody know about this?   Steve

If the 525 is the KTM motor then heck ya its a great motor. But it does have some issues with rocker shaft wear regardless of oil type. I think they suffer lack of lube in that critical area. Otherwise pretty much a bulletproof motor. In fact I know a guy who drained his oil and forgot to refill it. Rode the bike several hundred K before he realize it had no oil. Since that he has rode the Baja many times and probably has 20000 miles on the motor. Any motor that can run without oil for that long and in extreme riding condition is a fantastic motor.

I have mine and I love it. No issues. The only problem is that I have misplaced the owners manual. Does anyone know where I can download one. Thanks and happy riding.
