two questions
1.what jet is under the plactic scerw cap on the same side the tp sensor or L/S of carb?
2.If you have the carb upside down should the float be amost level the way it looks in the manual,or were do you mearsure from to get .031?
Also how important is to replace the parts that the manual request.

Front left of carb same side as the TP. The plastic cap has the choke valve and spring under it.
Measuring the float is done by tipping the carb. I have the full procedure in my manual if you need it. I never adjusted my float because I was told it was a pain.
I have had my carb apart about 15x and never bought anything but the jet kit and the gasket on the slide.
