Can you make a quad street legal

I live in VA and was wondering if theres any way I can make a quad street legal. I know i'd need lights, brake lights mirrors etc but can I register it like a you can a street dirt bike?

In nz you can but you have to have mirrors and lights, indiators and a linsence plate and registration

it completely depends on your state laws. some states dont allow them at all, some arent as strict. i would check google or go to your local dmv, and or dnr and ask them. in most cases you will have to have lights, registration, lisense plate for sure. in some cases you may need mirrors, and even turn signals in a few places. your best bet is to ask the law for information. even asking a local cop will help you more than this forum.
