Recently install an edelbrock carberator on my 04 yfz 450. I know the thing is not tuned right, maybe some one can help me. Here is what it does.
Idle screw adjusted all the way up to the stop. The bike starts fine, after about 3-5 seconds, it revs up to about 3000 rpm (you dont even have to put the gas, the bike will roll on its own). According to the manual, this is a result of the carb being too rich, but if I adjust the pilot needle, the bike will not start because it is not getting enough gas. I have the largest needle that came with the carb installed (K-7) would getting a K-8 maybe fix my problem? Or am I missing somthing? If anyone has knowledge on these cars please let me know.

Edit-I have already tried the 2 smaller needles that came with the carb (k-6, and k-5) the bike will not start with either, no gas)

Some other important info: Alba Pipe, K&N Air filter with open air box, using premo gas.(bike won't run on cheap gas at all)

One more thing, where do you buy the K serries needles. You cant but anthing fron the edelbrock web page, it shows the parts, but does not hane any prices.
