QUAD JUST DIED AT THE TOP OF THE HILL.VALVE TRAIN IS GOOD. GOOD SPARK.WONDERING IF THE CABLE ON THE SLIDE IN THE CARB MAY HAVE CAME OFF? CAUSE A SMALL SHOT OF STARTING FLUID DIDNT DO ANYTHING SO I FUGURED NOTHING IS EVEN GETTING TO THE INTAKE.THANX FOR ANY ADVICE.

check commpression, mine did the same thing and i killed the piston.

yeah blowing a ring or something would cause it to give out. doubtful its the carb. if it was the carb it would have acted like it was dying for a beer and then killed... slowly, not all of the sudden. chances are if it just stopped you might have cracked a ring, blown a head gasket... there are alot of things. a more detailed description of what its doing would help alot.
