OK Everybody, I'm a newbie on this forum. I have a Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4. I've had it for years, bought it in Louisiana at Ft Polk while my son was stationed there (Louisiana didn't have titles for ATV's). I live in Texas and now I'm looking to sell it and I want to make sure I have the year model correct. How/where do I look for this info and where is the VIN#?

the vin#'s are usually on the lower front frame or on the steering stem.
i think it's the same as auto's 10th digit from the left, a is 80 b is 81 c is 82 and so on.
or does it skip to 1990? anyone else have insight on this?

Thanks for the reply Wolf1, Looks like I will get back out there and search some more. From looking at Yamaha's on Ebay I think it mine is a 98.

FYI, I found the VIN on the left side of the frame under the engine. And with some help from Google I found a web site that has the codes for the VIN....mine was a 99 model. I put it on "craigslist" and it sold in one day. Thanks for your help
