I love the YFZ but it runs like crap from the factory. Carb had to be modified. Should remove air box cover and baffle and it is ready to beat the heck out of other bikes. By the way those mods are all free. Forgot about the cam mod also free
Like I said I love my YFZ
Heres my toys YFZ450 "06" jet kit, zip tie mod, cam mod, sold Raptor 350 "06" stock, sold Predator 90 "06" stock, sold

I am partial to the Yamahas. I think they have always made a quality product. I have the new 09 450R and that thing just performs. I couldn't be happier ;-)

it is a proven fact on multiple occasions. if you line up all 4 of the new 09 450's and test them in speed, handling, expense, and maintinance. the yfz will dominate them all. in a drag the yfz takes it topping out at around 75 STOCK! in handling it is close behind the honda, but adjusting the suspension will change that, depending on where you go the yamaha will be cheaper than honda, suzuki, and kawasaki. kawasaki spent all this time making sure every part on the 09 improves the quad, but yet the yfz still stomps all over it. maintinance on the yfz isnt hard at all. along with mods, the engine comes apart pretty smoothly.
bottom line, get a yfz. and if you cant find one. honda will do fine, just not as fine. they are both pretty sick machines.
