Hey! Im new to this site so hello. I have a 2005 bombardier 400 that has needs a new front shock. i have the new shock, but it does not have a spring. I was wondering how i would go about transferring the old spring onto the new shock, or if i should take to to my local dealer

you should have two circular nuts on it with slots on it, they make a tool to remove these, but if you are careful you can use a large pair of channel lock pliers to remove them.
once they are off the spring should slide off.
slide it onto the new shock and if needed you can purchase a set of spring compressors that work with a standard ratchet to compress the springs low enough to get the slotted nuts back on the shock.
it should be a fairly inexpensive job if you were to take it to a shop.
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!
