I have a trx250x and i ride it as a usual person would, maybe a little harder. It has a k and n and i dont think it is jetted right. Could this possibly make it hot as hell. Ill tap my knuckles offthe side of the jug and it almosts burns me. I dont want to take the chance of blowin up my motor. Help!!!

it could make it run hot

is it cutting out or bogging down when you ride it?

it will only cut out if im really riding it at a low rpm range (like any other quad would) but im wondering if it is running to lean.

try turning the fuel/air mixture screw to the left about 1/4 -1/2 turn to see if it runs a little better.

be sure to mark where it was sitting originally so that you can be sure to get it back there if necessary.

if you are not sure it was jetted properly then do a plug color test.

ride your atv in 4th or 5th gear and turn the atv off, and check the plug color.

be sure not to touch the throttle after, as goosing the throttle will cause it to read off.

white means it too lean brown or black means it's too rich.

you want a good creamy tan color like coffee with cream.

Well if i were to check if that works then i would have to get a new plug. I plan on getting a yoshimura and a uni filter for it anyways. Thanks for the suggestions!!!

if you put yoshi on it you'll have to definately re-jet the carb.
