2005 kfx 700 turns off when I come to a stop

Hey guys need help. I bought an 05 kfx 700. Let me start by saying I love this quad!!!. With that said I have been having trouble keeping it running when I come to a stop. Then when I try to start it I have to keep on the gas for it to stay on. Sometimes it idles fine then other times I have to keep giving it gas for it to stay on. Once I get going it runs like a screamin deamon. I thought maybe the idle was messed up but not sure. I live in PA and it was like 65 today. Went out started it it idled fine. Drove it around the yard came into the garage and it turned off before I came to a stop. The quad sat for awhile before I got it . Still has the original tires. I thought maybe I just need to get on it for a full day and see if that helps. I might try to flush all the old gas and maybe change the filters. Any help would be appreciated. thanks  

try cleaning out the carburetor

once you have it cleaned out if it sdoesn't improve let me know and we'll work on adjusting the fuel/air mixture.
