maybe if it's possible, you guys can make this a sticky on the forum??
For those of us who forgot to winterize..............
Find a wire bread tie or a .10 guitar string using a wire bread tie melt away the plastic coating so that you just have the wire. straighten it.
remove the carburetor then remove the bowl from the bottom of the carb.
tap the side of the bowl with the handle of your screwdriver once you have the screws out so that the gasket will let go without tearing and you can reuse it.
the jets are the round brass pieces in the bottom of the carb. use the wire bread tie or guitar string to run through the jets one at a time. on the needle jet you'll need to press the thumb throttle to get the wire through it.
once you are done, carefully remove the floats via the pin that they pivot on. be very careful not to lose the float valve as they are expensive to replace.
please note how the floats were sitting before you took them out. you don't want to get the floats back in upside down as it will just overflow and cause it to not run properly. once you have the float off and the float valve removed, inspect the float valve for wear.
also inpsect the floats for cracks or holes. if there are holes or cracks replace the float, if the float valve is worn replace it.
inspect the hole that the float valve came out of for dirt grime or fuel gum. remove any you find.
remove the choke cable and plunger, inspect the hole it came out of for gunk. clean out if necessary.
finally reassemble the floats, and put the bowl back on. reinstall the carburetor.

How difficult is it to remove the Throttle cable and choke cable?

usually not very, you remove the carb cap which can either screw on or has 2 - 6 small phillips head screws, then pull up until the slide comes out.
and the choke cable can screw in itself or beld down with phillips screws again. just don't lose the plunger and spring on the end of the cable
