ive got an 01 400ex that has a scorion slip on exhaust 39mm carb, I just bored out to 87mm makin it a 416 and shaved the head. new valve seals as well. Runnin great, lots of power. Should i put in a stage 2 cam? will it make a big difference.

Also i was thinkin about goin one tooth smaller in the front and puttin on a stage 2 rev box. this way ill get more torque and not lose any top speed

Any comments or advice

if you put the stage 2 cam in it, it will wake up that overbore.

if the engine can't breathe at the fcarburetion/fuel intake and the exhaust then you are only adding 3 or 4 horsepower by boring it out.

if you throw in a hot cam and possibly a stroker crank then you wake up all the possibilities that the over bore did for you.

you might possibly check into getting the ports done so that it's timed a little better with the piston and flows freely.
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!
