I am not sure exactly how to mount the rear rack for my new ATV.

I received 4 u-shaped brackets. There were no instructions.

Any ideas on the mounting locations?

check with the manufacturer of the rack.

they should provide you with instructions on how to mount it.  
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!
