Four Stroke Tech >> Mickey Dunlap

Just wanted to give a big old shout out to mickey for all of his years pimpin rides and being a great mentor to me back in the late 80s..
In 1987 i was racing a 1985 honda 70 and ended up with the #1 plate for the season. half way through that year my dad bought me a 250x and sent it to him for a FaSt Bike...when we showed up to pick it up he told my dad to get on it and take it for a spin..my dad laughed and told me to get my gear on (i was 12 and i think mickey had assumptuions). Needless to say when i came back to ohio on that old 250 everyone at the track was crappin bricks. Anyways i had a 292cc stroker he put in it for me in 1990 that was about the fastest thing at the track back then with me and my billy ray cyrus hair cut and my hot pink plastic which was all the rage in the 80s.It is now 2009 and though its just mostly a dust collector it still is 1 fast ride for whats now called a Starter bike.He came and watched me race and entered a few and tore the track up when he was there and offered me lots of big smiles and support which is why i still love beating a bike.My son turned 11 today and i went out and fired it up washed it off and tomorrow hes gonna finally get to ride it as its his now..Thanks tons Mickey and hope to see your work in some more mags and for all the support way back then..

Thanks for Sharing the story. That's awesome! Mickey just finished up a Kawasaki Teryx build for us that will show up in our Feb issue of ATV Rider Magazine. Let's just say that this Teryx has more power than any SxS we've ridden to date. You guys be sure to pick up that issue. Also, we have some more FST features coming your way soon as well. It sounds like someone had an awesome birthday!  Getting a new Mickey motor still brings a huge smile to my face, I can only imagine the reaction as an 11 year old.

Hello and thanks.....
The boy is in love and  has offically dumped the blaster now =)..Allthough i have to start it for him as he dont got the but as i didnt back then(kick start) he Loves it and i took him riding today in the snow even though it is a flat track bike!! I swapped out some tires and he rode it till he came in the door with the Blue lipps and froze hands and said he wasnt cold 1 bit.He is now wanting to take it to the race track but i told him he has to have a MULLET hair cut =) to make it faster...Anyways thanks again and i might have 2 motors to be sending you way thids yesr
