Well, since my dad has the honda and I have the Yamy, people are always asking me which is better; YFZ or TRX? Well I have some news for you, it depends. Bone stock, YFZ is a top end bike with lots of speed in the top gears. The TRX is very torquey and will beat you off the line every time ( with the right rider). Our bikes are modded though. Both bikes are piped, jetted, and have K&N filters. Both bikes have been lowered a tooth on the countershaft for bottom end in the sand. The difference, I have  20" 8 paddle skat-track haulers and he has sand stars. And he installed the HRC kit( CRF cam). We raced on a flat stretch of wet sand and every time, the trx pulls ahead off the start, and by the end, my YFZ catches up with the top end power and we baisicly tied every race. I'd say these bikes are very even all together.

Yeah I was the same way racing him. He beat me only because i couldn't keep the front end down for the life of me. When I was down, I would catch him so fast in the top end.
