Hi Folks,
I am looking for some help regarding a Yamaha 350 Banshee, year 2003,
The quad is slow to start and will sometimes just cut out for not reason, I noticed that the wires coming from the top of the carb slide have been damaged and rejoined. I have been told that this is the TORS (throttle over ride system) and can be removed. Does anybody know if this is correct? And how is it removed, is it just a case of cutting the wires back? I am pretty sure that is the root cause for the cutting out.
The second issue is around the compression, I have completed a compression test and it is showing a read of 7.8Bar, I know that this is a slightly low figure, the bore is standard 64mm, and undamaged, I do have a new set of std pistons but I was thinking off installing the new pistons and skimming the head, does anybody know how much I can take off the head.

Thanks in advance for the help.
