Was wondering if anyone could help me out. I was just givin my grandfathers fourwheeler after he died and i am having trouble identifying it. I have just learned it is a yamaha yfm-200 moto 4. My problem is i dont know the year. Kelley blue book states that there is only a 1988-1989. An old yamaha site says it was the first yamaha fourwheeler but in 1985. If anyone can tell me how to tell, any web sites with pics that might help, or at least what years the yfm200 was made, it would be a big help. Thank you.

You should get the VIN# and if you take it to a shop like Z&M they should be able to do a title search.

I kind of figured that would work but the small issue I am having is I cant find the vin. Do you know where it is located on fourwheelers, or is there a different spot for every model? Thank you.

It's usually located on the bottom rail of the frame. Somewhere near the pegs at the very bottom. Maybe try that. The motors have a vin number as well.
