Hey Folks,

Need Help figuring out a fan problem. Bike started overheating, checked all the obvious, coolant level, radiator fins clear, pulled out thermostat and boiled to see if opening, etc. When I unplug the thyristor I get constant power to the fan plug, plug back in and power goes away as it should. Dealer told me it was the fan motor so replaced it with aftermarket Hayden. I am still getting power to the fan plug but the only way the fan will come on is direct connection to the battery. I am at a total loss here and need some advise. HELP!!!!

Got it!!!!! read a post about a sealed pouch up under the front cargo box/fuze panel. Found it, started tugging, pulling and squeezing and watched with amazement as the fan started coming on and off. Some kind of an inline switch/relay (20amp) that I supposed is designed to protect the 50amp circuit breakers or something. Could have engineered this better myself, at least with an open, easy to see relay so it would at least dry after being wet. The inside of the pouch was all rusted with the wire barely making connection. Now I get to spend another hour or two putting it all back together after a run to the parts store.
