Please help me! I am having problems with my daughters 110 SUNL atv. It won't start. From day one the push button on the handle bars the starter didn't work. The remote start worked fine, so we just started it that way. Last week it quit starting with the remote start, so we purchased a new on thinking that it had broken, but that wasn't the problem. I have 2 other of the same ATV's so I have spent the last week swapping out parts and testing numerous wires with the testing light. This is what I know so far...
The engine will only turn over if I cross the cylinoid. There is power to the cylinoid from the battery, but not from the cylinoid to the starter. I have tried to trace these wires, but with not solution. I want to know how to bypass the kill switch on the handlebars and the rear lanyard so they aren't part of the equation.
This seems to be an electrical issue, but I can't find out where. The relay in the remote start will click, but nothing is getting back to the cylinoid. I am thinking of puting a push button and a kill switch directly from the cylinoid to the starter, but want some other options and ideas before I tear something else up. Any IDEAS? I have tried everyting I know.
Thanks

their's two wires going to the left side handlebar brakes, these two wires go to a safety switch, if they are not connected or the connectors are loose or the switch is stuck closed you atv will not start, also sounds like this was may have been the problem to begin with, the brakes need to be depressed in order to start the atv. without depressing the brake lever the remote would have still worked.

Thank for the quick advice.
On the safety switch.. The top wire is showing power, but the top one isn't, but if that was the problem from the beginning, then why won't it start with the remote now? You don't have to have the brake depressed to start it with the remote and I'm not getting anyting to happen when I use the remote start. My other 4 wheelers start without depressing the brake and starting it with the remote start, but this one doesn't anymore.

If there is power into that switch and no power out, is there any way to fix the switch. I can see how that would affect the handle bar start, but that shouldn' have an affect on the remote start should it?

Please advise. I need help and am a newbie at this stuff. Thanks !

Sorry on the previous post, I meant the bottom wire is showing power and not the top. Thanks

the back safety switch that uses lanyard can just be unplug and removed,it unplugs just about the rear of the seat, will not hurt anything. the remote starter with the alarm and buzzer can also just be unpluged and removed, but doing this will  cause the atv not to stop using the key switch, you still must have the key switch turned on to start but will not stop engine turning the switch off. only beable to use handlebar switch to turn off engine, you might want to try unplugging the remote starter just to see if thats the problem

Bill2099- Thanks for all of your help.

The remote starter was the only way I could start it. My brake safety switch seems to be broken, so it won't start with the handlebar button.
Would this work... Can I unplug the lanyard, and then hook up my own kill switch and starter button directly from the cylinoid to the starter? If so, what will I need to do with the handlebar start button and kill switch? Thanks

try this, first make sure the two wires going to the handlebar brake are plug into the main wiring harness, these plug in around the steering head, then unplug the two wires at the handlebar brake and use a jumper wire to connect the two wires and then try to start the quad,
