Hey everyone, new to the forum here and have limited knowledge on quads so bare with me please .
For starters the engine bogs extremely bad at a little under half throttle, what could be the issue? The air filter is clean so its not limiting air to the engine which if it was dirty it should limit it all around instead of till a certain throttle point right? I was thinking that maybe that fuel filter could be clogged and at about half throttle there is enough fuel pumping through that whatever is in the filter clogs it and causes the engine to bog badly? My dad talked to a guy at the polaris dealer a little while back and he says that there is something called a reverse neutral switch that allows the engine to rev to a certain amount of RPM's? I dont know anything about that so I'm just going along with that. I freind of mine used to be a mechanic at the polaris dealer here and he said that it could be the fuel filter but he wouldn't know unless he got to look at. Also while the quad was in illinois for the past year (we moved and didn't have the room to bring it back. My brother picked it up this weekend and brought it back) Anyways my cousin had the bright idea to borrow it for a little while and beat the crap out of it, anyways he seems to have messed up the rear shock. There rebound is really fast and not how it used to be, and if you compress the shock it will rebound quickly and make a loud slapping sound in the process, it acts as if there is no oil in the shock or anything for the piston to work with so it rebounds to much and is causing it to not work properly. My dad seems to think it may have something to do with the reservoir but from what I have read the reservoir acts as what its called, when the shock gets too much oil and needs somewhere for it to go it goes to the reservoir and then when the shock is de-compressed the oil goes back into the shock. So how would that have anything to do with the shock acting the way it is? I may be able to get a video this weekend if we dont have it fixed by then.

A buddy of mine had a spare rear shock assembly so that issue is out the door as I just bolted on the new one and everything is working correctly. Still having issues with it bogging down.
