My predator quit on me idiling in the yard one day and hasnt started since. It will turn over just fine its getting fire to a new plug gas to the carb but doesnt act like it is getting fire so i was wondering if there is some fuse or something that could do that i got it used from my nephew so i dont have a manual and really cannot afford to have some one fix it,but until the day it quit i never had one problem from it and it has been serviced regularly I keep telling myself its something small but dont have anymore ideas!

are you getting fuel to the spark plug? it can still be clogged in the carb and not get fuel from the bowl to the cylinder. that would be the first thing i would check.
if you are getting spark at the plug and fuel to the plug it should run. low compression will cause it not to run as well. have to checked the compression on it?

Rings can go out when you least expect it. it just takes getting them hot enough, or a little water due to condensation getting into the cylinder. normally what happens is that the rings begin to wear out slowly over time, and we just don't notice it as it still runs but eventually gets a little harder to start, then a little harder. then suddenly it won't start.
a compression guage would be where i would start. do everything you can to check without having to spend money on it, then look into spending a little cash on it to fix it. it could be simple and you wouldn't want to throw money at it if you could fix it yourself.
