I just got it the other day, it was rarely used and put away in the pool room. Parts were taken from it but replaced. I was told that I'd need a new CDI box so I bought a CDI rev box. That didn't give it a spark at all so I took the ignition coil up to this atv/motorcycle place to have it tested. He told me that it passed but the spark plug resistor cover was bad so I replaced it.
I figured that'd be all, it'd start up and I'd have fun.
Nope. No spark at all. I read that it could be the stator. Now I thought about this. If it were the stator, it'd have to be used or worn out to go bad. This engine was rarely used but maybe it was just damaged over the long period of time being in the pool room. Who knows.
I don't have an ohm reader or whatever to test any wires. All I have is a new CDI rev box and battery since those two were both dead.
I also read that it could be wiring to the handlebar. I thought about that before I got it too. Maybe the kill switch is burned out or something. There is a kill switch on the back too. If you fall off, it comes unplugged and shuts down the atv. Well that's connected but maybe the handlebar kill switch is ruined.
Does any one know what it could be? Everything seems wired perfectly up until I read about the kill switch on the handlebar. It cranks over, starter works, I'm getting gas to the engine but no spark. Help me out please. I've asked this question all over the place and no one's given me an answer.
