I bought one in may of this year. Had it out a couple of times and it quit running and became hard to start. found it was leaking gas at the tank where the pitcock comes out. sealed it and it started and ran, then quit again and wouldn't start back. Is there a way to put a better pitcock on the gas tank? Would a small leak at the tank keep it from starting and running. gas is going through the line to the carb just fine. Its not starting with ether either.
Also I think I am going to try unhooking the safety switch at the motor to see if it went bad, or just isn't connecting.

Any other thoughts or ideas?

a small fuel leak at the petcock has no effect weather it runs or not, you have other problems, you need to do a check spark, also do a valve adjustment. replace spark plug, replace or add a fuel filter, replace petcock, e-bay  sells replacement petcocks, for more help you can e-mail me luvmysxs@yahoo.com

i agreee it sounds like you need to start with the fuel filter but after that try cleaning the jets on the carb that is the most common issue with tatoa and chinese bikes sitting for a couple of weeks at a time
