I found the problem ! The Chinese builders did not clean the tank properly after drilling for fittings and some small black plastic shavings were stuck in the needle valve. I thoroughly cleaned the bowl and all lines and installed a small glass filter and presto ! Changed the oil twice to get rid of the gasoline contamination and it runs like a top again. Still gonna sell this bike !! I hope this helps someone in the future.

I had same problem with my 110 ATV, it leaked fuel through the drain tube.
Tightening the drain screw did not help. I took the carb apart and it looked like the float valve got stuck low and did not shut the fuel when the floaters were up.
It's a cheap design with plastic parts inside. I just sprayed the triflow on the needle and it works now, but I'm sure it will happen again.
Short of changing the carb for a better one, I don't see any better solution for this.

How are these atvs I am looking at getting one for my son. I am something cheap for him to start on and I do not want to spend the money for a yamaha or honda. I have read that you have had some minor problems but are the atvs really that dad?

Thanks so much for your help.

so should you just stay away from these fourwheelers and spend the extra money on a name brand

It depends.  If you are willing and able to do your own troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance - and you realize that they aren't really built for heavy duty jumps etcetera then the chinese ATV's are fine.  I don't regret buying mine at all.

On the other hand, if it suddenly won't start and you haven't a clue as to what to do next, then chinese quads are probably not a good idea for you.

The quads are easy to work on, and parts are available everywhere.  But they require a lot of maintenance.

Hi, guys the same happens to me on my son's ATA 110H  atv, and i did all the changes you said.
Just run a little better, I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy this carburator: 30MM MIKUNI CARBURETOR CARB CRF XR 100 200 250 CARB 230 (on e-bay) to icrease power to the motor, or I'm just wasting money and time in a endless fight.

the stock carburetor for the chinese 110's are eaither 18-19mm depending on the engine manufacture,
unless you done some mods, like big bore, exhaust, porting and so force you'll just be wasting time and money on a 30mm carb. you'd loose all your low end torque and thottle reponse.   if you looking for a good replacement carb, the mikuni 22mm would be a good choice,e-bay has them for around $25-30

I have a 110cc tao-tao engine that has more torque on reverse gear than forward gear (only has two gears) the lazy thing doesn't climb a easy bump, i guess that something is wrong with it, i did change the cluth one time for burn out, i put a new one, change the rear spocket for a big one too, just a little better performance.
They told me to change the piston's ring, they might be wrong for the manufacturer, i thing something is backwards in the gear box. what would it be guys?

I just bought two Tao Tao 110h4 quads.  The gearing is way too high.  I know the front sprocket has 14 teeth and the back has 37 but I don't know what size the chain is.  I would like to put a smaller front sprocket on and a larger back on.  Does anyone have any specific info on what these quads come with stock for chain and sprocket and where to get the proper smaller front and larger rear sprockets?

just remove the counter shaft spocket cover, the OEM spocket will have the chain size on it, aftermarket does not. you should have a 428 chain,  the smallest C/S spocket they make for your engine is a 12 tooth. with a 12 spocket you will need to trim the spocket retainer and use allen wrench bolts, for a 12 tooth spocket go to kazuma.com or HighRpmRacer's.com look under taotao parts, cost is $17.00. for a 13 tooth spocket just go to e-bay, they're priced from $6-12 depending on the dealer
