My 05 predator ran perfect the last time out no problems. The next time I tried to ride it it wouldnt start. The battery was the original so I bought a new one from our local dealer and put it in,fired right up. I rode it to the end of our road and back and when i killed it it was dead again...battery dead again. Can someone please give me some ideas as far as what to look at? You can email me at Cinch0074@yahoo.com or post here. Thanks for your help

My brothers 05 Predator had the same problem. First, make sure the terminals are clean and making a good tight connection.Check all of your fuses also. On his,the stator was going bad. He bought one off E-bay, but I wouldn't recommend that. You could be buying their problem. Before you buy that new stator, make sure that the new battery was charged properly and prepared properly (electrolyte fluid added to proper levels, etc.) Most new batteries require a charge of several hours. It may just be that it was'nt charged long enough. If it was charged properly, the stator isn't sending the charge back to the battery. I had him check all these things, and now it's running like a champ. Just to make sure it is your stator, try roll-starting it.If after a couple of solid attempts it doesn't fire and continue to run, that's gotta be it. Good luck.
