I'm new here, so take it easy on me. My son's LTF230G wasn't turning over. The battery was dead. I was also hooking up a winch. I bought a new battery. Now, the electrical start won't turn over at all. No sound, nothing. It will start with the pull starter. The battery has 13 volts, and the winch works.
I think that there must be a ground not connected from the battery. I am assuming that the hot lead from the battery goes to the starter (where is the starter on this engine), but where does the negative lead from the battery connect to? I read somewhere that there is a starter relay. Where is that, and how can I tell if it is bad.
Thanks guys. A friend is borrowing the ATV for elk hunting and will be upset a little if I can't get the electric start working. R.J.
