A friend of mine brought her quad over for a quick tune up before going on a trip. Her main concern was that it would not stay running at idle. I smelled old gas and firgured I could clean the carb, air cleaner and put in a new spark plug.
I had the air filter out letting it dry and decided to play around with the idle adjustment to kill some time. I had it running for less than a minute and the overheat light came on and it starts flashing hot! So I shut it down right away and started looking around. It didn't seem that hot and radiator was full of coolant. I turned the switch on to get ready to start it again and it has no power, as in electrical power. The dash won't light up or anything. I did the usual, check battery conections check for loose or broken wires etc. Is there a reset once it gets hot? I really don't think it was overheating in the short time I ran it but anything is possible. Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Patrick
